Linda Leupold, born in Berlin, Germany, lives and works in Casole d'Elsa (Siena), Tuscany, where she paints frescoes, large murals, trompe l'oeil and other large paintings on commission. To see examples of her work click on 'Gallery' to get in touch click on 'Contacts'. In 2002 she sucessfully finished her studies of theater-painting at the Academy of Art in Dresden, Germany. This unique 4- year course specialises in theatre-painting, realisation of set design, following traditional and contemporary techniques and methods.

This intensive course practising large dimension-paintings on any surface is completed by studies like architecture, anatomy/ life drawing, sculpture, script, philosophy and art-history. Among the images "gallery" you find one of her most important works: Design and realisation of a set in style for the historic "Goethe Theater" in Bad Lauchstaedt, Germany - one of the few theaters build in the 17th century where the original historic stage machinery to move back drops and wings is still in use.

Besides studying at the academy she made very precious experiences working for various productions at the following theaters in Germany and Italy: workshop of the Semper Opera, Dresden, Germany (Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden), Staatsschauspiel Dresden, workshop of the National Theater Mannheim, workshop Bovisa of the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, Italy and workshop of the Teatro Comunale Pisa, Italy Since 2009 Linda works, inspired by the beauty of the tuscan landscape and much more, in her studio in Via Casolani 30, Casole d'Elsa (Siena), Tuscany, where she also exibits.

Her artistic profil includes various techniques: theater-/set painting, large dimension wall- and canvas painting, trompe-l'oeil, reproduction/copies, portrait, landscape using different techniques: tempera, acrylic, oil, watercolours, frescoes.
